Chaganty Seshayya (pronounced as Sesh-aiah) 1878-1958
He is most noted for his immense contribution to Andhra Kavi Tarangini – a 16 volume history of 1300 Poets – 16 volumes were printed. This work was un-paralled in scope and depth. And it is to date the only such research material available on Andhra Poets going back to 600 AD from 16th century AD.
In addition to many other contributions to Telugu Literature he also translated into Telugu several works of the famous Bengali writer Bakim Chandra Chatterjee.
